Default Every book tells a story

Curmugeondwindle has a fascinating take on disc golf course design, comparing it to a story.
In that light, which book most accurately describes your favorite course ?

This is a test, only a test. Does intelligent life still exist on DGCR ?

For all it's virtues, you do know this site is heavily censored, right ? which is why there is no real substance to any meaningful discussion.

Not my favorite course, but I have a local course, Coggshall Park, that is extremely frustrating due to the quantity of mountain laurel adjacent to its narrow fairways. Its book inspiration is Heart of Darkness.

I'm guilty of wild imagination and reckless anthropomorphery, but I've not made the connection between a course and an existing book. More often the course is a song, a poem, that builds out of my time in it. Oh sometimes it only takes an object. On a day of personal despair, I saw that the towel dropped by the tee was obviously stolen from a wife's bathroom closet:

I'm not jealous of you towel
It's awful what happens to you
The way you get tromped on
And soak up crud
The awful things you do sucking
Pop in the floorboard sucking
Pickle juice
Sucking coffee with mold in it
You've been under the house under the bed
In butt cracks
You're yucky towel
You haven't got any dreams
You don't hope someday to wrap
A perfumed sultan
Or flap
On the presidential clothesline
You're a cottony ignoramus
You can't tell motor oil from dog spit
You haven't got any dignity
You go with holes and stains
Unabashedly to work
You haven't got anything I haven't got
Except utility
Longevity
Pink hair and a tag
I'm not jealous of you towel
You can't feel the skillet scorch or
Rat bites
Look at you
Abandoned
You live with the disaster of total painlessness.

I do know what you mean about really good courses having the feel of a book. Each section of holes feels like their own chapters with the changes from wooded to open or a creek to a drastic downhill shot feeling like a good plot transition. The original Brackets Bluff felt allot like this. If your ever in the finger lakes again come play my course and let me know what book it reminds you of.
