Yeah I'm open to Westside (they're molded by Lat). I've heard a lot of good things about the Sword too.

I have a chance to go to PIAS this weekend and I'm looking at picking up the Sword and Pain and possibly the Saint. What plastics should I get?

Definitely an Opto advocate here.

I love GL, feels/looks/flies/beats great, only comparable plastic I may like more is ESP, but I just can't trust it as much as their Opto counterparts. Could just be me, but I also noticed more fluctuation in dome/PLH on GLs than Opto.

*Never thrown a Saint, only fondled GL ones. Feels like a sweet+very familiar mold..

I prefer Opto as well. Sloppy's GL Saint bombed though, it had some nice gradual dome to it. I don't really like GL that much b/c to me it takes forever to get grippy but for distance I'd probably lean towards it b/c it seems like it just cuts through the wind much better than Opto (which doesn't suck but still).

My GL Pain is really beefy compared to my Optos, kind of flies like a beefy Wasp whereas the Optos fly like a nice KC Pro Roc. Those are my Pains anyway.

Well the PIAS in Winston didn't have any west side but I did get a heavy opto pain, a sparkle fuse, and a tm river. How is the PIAS in Greensboro?

Haven't been in a while but it's predominately Innova and Discraft, with a smattering of Millennium floating around. I think the Cedarock store or club or somebody over there has a nice selection of Lat. and Westside.

6 year update O.O!!!!

I'm six years older and fatter and all that. I've lost a little bit of distance from lack of practice but I've changed the way I play.

so here's my current bag:

Drivers:
GStar Destroyer 171 - go for it distance and long FH
Opto and GL Swords 170 something each - nails straight distance (these used to bomb for me not sure anymore)
GStar, Star, Champ and DX Eagles 165 up to 175 - These are for all manner of BH & FH shots good line shapers, go to drivers
GStar, Champ Glow, DX Leopards 170s - straight shots mostly and jank FH, DXs do the turnover work

Mids:
GStar, Champ Glow Roc3s 180s I think (both F2) - not sure how I feel but these are go to mids right now
KCPro 12x Roc 180 - it does what it does
X Comet 176? - Comet stuff, will always have one in my bag

Putters:
Yeti Aviar 175 - putting putter (finally one that feels right)
Champ glow BB Aviar 175 - throwing and upshot
Champ Rhyno 175 - OS approach/FH
Champ Polecat 175 - ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕe

Utility/Wierdness:
Opto xXx 175 - first run super flat snowflake, I don't know of a more OS disc
Champ Mamba 175? - the exact opposite of the xXx, can do the jankiest of the jank shots

I do have some Valkyries that creep in and out depending on the course. I really like GStar/GL/Titanium plastics; grippy! I still have a stack of Avengers but they've gone OOP, they are power hungry and I'm not getting any younger. The Leopard3 and Teebird3 are really interesting to me. So much new stuff out there, my head is spinning.

anything I'm missing? Gaps? must try/test?

Howdy Keltik!

Nah, no gaps that I can see. This is a good time to be a noodle arm, there's a lot of popular drivers for folks that want easy D. Terns, Shrykes, Sheriffs, Ballista, DDx, Pharoah (Infinite Disc that is a higher PLH Shryke), Scorpius, etc.

Twmccoy has a lot of good threads on distance drivers, he's a distance junkie. Here's a good one: https://www.dgcoursereview.com/forum...d.php?t=129861
