Default Simple Bag Dreams

Vitals:
Years playing/experience: About 3 years ish
Right/left-handed/ambidextrous: right-handed
Throwing Style: RHBH RHFH
Golf Distance (avg/max*) for putter/mid/driver: Ion: 250/300'; Roc: 320/340'; PD: 360/400' Trespass: 380/ 420'

Current lineup is:
Ion, Zone, Roc, River, PD, FB, Trespass, Giant

Looking to change it to this:
Challenger, Zone, Meteor, Buzzz, Wasp, PD, FB, Trespass, Giant

Will the Discraft mids makeup for taking out the fairway drivers. Anyone do this and have success? I'd like to flick the Buzzz and others too. I figure I can beat up some Challengers and be alright. I've been hitting the yellow band like a mad man with Ions. They are dead center but high a lllooooottttt.

For your putting issue, I think Ions had less glide in the circle than any base plastic putter I've used since. I certainly wouldn't blame the disc for that. Switching putters is a good excuse to breakdown and rethink your putting form. After using Ions for a while in 2011, I don't think I'll ever putt with premium plastic again.

I doubt anyone can answer your other question better than spending some time with the discs. The DC mids cut the air faster but glide less than Rocs so it comes down to what best fits your throw. I did the opposite switch this year - from Buzzzes and Wasps to Rocs - and I'm throwing my mids farther than ever. Either way, if you're cycling P-PD's and have a Meteor on hand, you shouldn't miss the Rivers too much.

I'd have a hard time with fairway drivers in there. If you can power up your mids well enough and power down the PD's enough I'd say you're fine.
