Default NOR-CAL TEAM CHALLENGE

This weekend, November 4th and 5th, will be the first ever disc golf club team match-play tournament. From what I understand, the format will only be doubles with alternate shot and 8 players on each hole. I'm playing #2 Open for my team, the Delta Windjammers of Stockton. That means that I'll probably have to play against the team of Locastro and Barsby some time during the weekend. Looking forward to a fun-filled weekend.

GO JAMMERS!!!!

I haven't play RR since the Worlds. Not sure what the course looks like any more.

I'm going to have a chance to play it the following weekend and was hoping, if you had time, to let me know the conditions of the course and how hard it is to play. Good luck!

Well, the Delta Windjammers didn't win the inaugural NorCal Team Challenge, but we had the most fun. We brought 25 gallons of a few different kinds of beer and made it a party. We took 9th out of 12 teams. We didn't play all of the teams there due to the format, but we did lose to the top 5 finishing teams.

United Flyers of Sonoma (UFOS) took down Santa Cruz in the finals. I didn't stick around for that as I had some football to watch, but I'm sure it was an epic match.

We used the same format as the Collegiate Championships for the tourney. Central Coast was there filming, the weather was great, and the course was in super shape. I was the oldest guy there (by far) playing on the top card with all of the young guns, but I held my own and contributed to a couple wins.

Did I say we brought 25 gallons of beer? More on the format later...

OK, I have to apologize for some major misinformation...

Santa Cruuuuuuz won this event. What I saw posted a couple nights ago was the final standings after the preliminary matches were completed. UFOS had the best record, but lost to the DeLaveagans in the finals...my bad.

Congrats to Santa Cruz whom we had down by 2 holes only to relinquish the lead to them late in the match because we didn't birdie the two 250-foot holes.
