Trident was marked as speed 5 at some point but it is definately faster.

My opto tridents were silly overstable. I could throw those in any anny and they would still fade back. I throw around 450 with forehand and I got barely any turn in my tridents.
The MVP Resistor is a good option for slower firebird. Probably not as aggressively, utility OS as some firebirds but still nice and beefy. The big plus over similar options is that they are not hard to find in a good configuration, IE flat and OS.

I bag Gold Line Tridents and Neutron Resistors. They're not the same. If I were to measure overstability in a unit called "Tridents," a Resistor would be 0.75 Tridents. I have to rip into a Trident for all I'm worth, and it goes a couple of bucks then flares hard left, skipping usually. If I do the same to a Resistor, it goes straight for a startlingly long time, then fades more gently.

( For reference, my max drive ever in competition was a 395' tailwinder with a Shryke, I comfortably fire fairway drivers 325' with C1 accuracy, and on a good solid pull can make a Thunderbird or (Streamline) Trace go 375'. )

Well this was a beautiful disaster. Not overstable enough for junk shots, too glideless for conventional throwing. Back to the EXP-X I guess.

It's useful for specific shots. Mine have all been fairly workable (as he said, not OS enough for junk shots) but always have a massive fade. Useful for when you need to get as far around a corner as possible.
Also feel great for forehands.

There is often strong westerly winds where I play, and I use Tridents in the headwind OS mid slot, so pretty much this. They never turn, and always finish right LHBH. The driver like form-factor makes them comfortable to throw too.

Its my main touch forehand woods disc for anything that finishes with fade. I like the opto ones super beat so they will turn some. Great disc for touch flip up forehands. I wish my home courses had some 275-325 foot holes so I could throw it more in hickory NC

I had one throw that just really soured me on it. I threw it on a placement hyzer upshot and when it started fading again it just fell out of the sky immediately, the dumpiest fade ever. Ended up like 50' short of the basket on a routine hyzer. Triple X's would've gotten closer easily.
