Default Why is sand bagging tolerated?

Just wondering why sand bagging is tolerated? it seems like every tourney I play the sand baggers come out of the woods. tournament directors will make a snide remark while handing them their winnings and that's all that gets said. It seems like the td's should be more diligent before the start. I have seen Guys with or without a pdga number sandbagging in these causal tourneys.

Must of haha - JK bro, I feel you man, there are some dudes close by that are constantly bagging. They don't have pdga #s, and only play a few tourneys a year, but when they show up they are baggin hard. Puttin up 950 rounds consistently in intermediate and stuff. Really annoying.

They can't get autobumped bc they don't have pdga #'s right? Not sure how that works, but it's pretty lame. Is it entirely up to the td if they aren't pdga current?

Well, PDGA members that are playing their rating aren't sandbagging.

Maybe you just need to play your rating, or improve your game, and quit your damn whining.

You know, whenever I hear someone crying complaining about sandbaggers I think about what Paul Ulibarri said in a Discraft video, "better get better."

We had a guy shoot a 1011 round in Int yesterday. Big deal...people can get hot, or their rating hasn't caught up to their game.

A little harsh eh? You sandbagging and sick of people callin you out, so you have all this build up aggression towards people talking about it? Just kidding, totally kidding man.

I just think all of us have been bothered a time or two in our disc golf "career" about somebody bagging. It can just be discouraging, that's all. Best thing to do is use it as motivation to get better and not let it bother you too much.

I think the times that it really gets to me is when people are playing advanced or open all year, but drop down just to win cash for non sanctioned tourneys. But it happens, especially when there is money on the line. That's just part of disc golf.

Not tolerated, and doesn't happen, around here. At least, I've never been able to find any evidence of it.

The O.P. mentions "causal tourneys". Is that supposed to be "casual"? If so, it might explain a lot.
