Default More distance on a tomahawk?

So I'm determined to have the longest tomahawk in the local club. It's a silly thing, I know, but it's a useful shot for me and I'm working on manipulating the shape for other uses too. The only guy I'm chasing was a NCAA D1 baseball player so i'm at a disadvantage here lol. Right now I top out at about 400' (avg being 370ish) throwing either an Opto or Gold Line XXX, both 175g, or occasionally a Rask.

Any suggestions on how I might pick up some more distance? Different mold? lighter disc? Throw off a mountain? I know having a video with some form might be helpful, but here we are lol. I've noticed if I throw anything with a turn rating it does a barrel roll and then dies. I've got a 148g firebird in my Infinite cart as an experiment so maybe that's what I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance for helping me be a competitive son of a bitch lol

Yea, I've heard that too, but I was trying to avoid getting one of those. Sounds like a lot of headache

I vote for the throw off a mountain option.

And congratulations on your current distance. For me that shot is strictly a get out of trouble or go over something shot. I doubt I could get 250.

The forum was due for another interesting "I can bomb" thread. This time 400ft with a tomahawk throw. I saw a guy throw 400+ the other day with an aerobie epic. Amazing to watch. Let's see some vid if you get a chance.

Haha I didn't mean to be that. I didn't know 400' on a tomahawk would be considered a bomb. I'll see if one of the league guys can shoot a video of it for me next week.

I'm really trying to avoid the Epic, but if it means outthrowing the other guy I'll give it a shot lol

I've been an athlete all my life. I've already got arthritis and tendonitis in my throwing elbow. Me and the surgeon are going to be great friends down the road

Thanks! I've seen it applied in some interesting places. I'd like to start implementing it more into that aspect of my game as well.

Well I don't throw tomahawk's or thumber but I have a buddy who does, I gave him a Fireball 165 ish flat top and he gets that further than anything he's thrown. He hasn't tried it against his Epic yet since he needs more space to use the epic... thrown correctly though it does a full loop then ends up gliding flat.

Matt Dollar throws fireballs. I push gyro.. Second hand advice haha take it FWIW.
