Default How heavy is a max weight z-buzzz?

Basically wondering what the max weight z-buzz is supposed to weigh?
What is the heaviest you have seen?
Are other plastics in the same weight range?
Thanks for your help in advance.

http://www.discraft.com/prod_buzzz_z.html

Discraft says 178, I have one that scales at 179. It's stable for my arm, goes great with my "seasoned for a year" 170

Usually the Max weight ones say 178+ on the sticker so there may be some variations there, I have a purple one that feels almost 180.

Different molds have different max weights, the roc is 180 so maybe the buzz is also 180. I think the pdga might assign the max weights when they are getting approved. This all means we are too lazy to look it up.

Also the max weight of a mold is the same no matter which plastic it is.

Yes true. The max weight is assigned based on the diameter of the disc. they might be able to make heavier discs in some plastics, but the legal max weight is the same for all plastics.

Well, "legal" max weight is determined by the diameter of the disc. I don't know the equation or specifics, but typical drivers and putters can go up to 175. Buzzes and most mids can go up 178 (Rocs to 180). Super-class can go much higher...in the 200's I think.

But as for your point, sometimes they will make discs in plastics that are meant to be lighter weight (R-pro) than other plastics so it would defeat the purpose to make those at max weight and it may not even be possible given the density of the plastic.

However, many times the weight of discs come out heavier than the legal max weight, so they just call it whatever the legal max weight is so they don't have to scrap the disc and lose money.
