I carry 4 (Neutron Axis, Neutron Alias, Proton Alias and Neutron Theory) but I'm throwing Envys more than any of them.

Idk what happened to start off this season but my mids are going farther than ever. I used to use putters up to 200' then mids up to 250'-275'. My max distance is only about 325' to 350'. Now all of a sudden my theory, tangent, and vector are giving me 300' consistently. I thought my mids were going to be phased out but of this keeps up, my fairway drivers might start thinning out in my bag.

Keep Fairways in!...Fairways will replace shots you used to use Distance Drivers for... Distance Drivers will go 400' after that... That's what happened with me.

I'm getting pretty even division of D from putters, mids and fairways. It's distance drivers I currently have no use for.

Sometimes for me, if I feel that I can rip a mid at a certain distance, I will power down a fairway driver or other hybrid disc to make sure that I reach the hole without grip locking the thrown disc or releasing early.

And I believe it's more about how you're doing in a round and distance to the basket that determines what disc you throw.

This is the area of the bag I've been paying the most attention to recently, mostly because I've been running a very simple putter/mids setup for a very long time (stable/overstable midrange, stable/understable midrange, approach putter, and putting putter, with no true driving putter). I've been trying new discs out to see what I've been missing and I'm definitely finding some holes.

The Proxy has made its way in for its ease at executing straight tunnel shots. That's such a common motif that it's a niche disc worth carrying. This couple with my first experimentation with a truly understable midrange in quite some time - the Theory - has sidelined my Tangent for the time being. The Theory in part made that possible but the Tangent wouldn't have gone anywhere without the Proxy. It's got better HSS and less fade, so it's perfect for those straight lines. Proxy doesn't have the distance that the Tangent has, or that easy float, so perhaps the Tangent will make its way back in at some point. Some course hopping this spring and summer should help me figure it out.

I've thought about trying an Envy because they're all the rage, but I'm completely satisfied with the Suspect so it just doesn't seem necessary.
