Boop! Got one to test out. Doubt I'll really need it with the new Mortar and Gilas I've got, but still nice to try a new DM mold.

Also, notice on their Store page now that they've adjusted the MD3 flight numbers. Retailers and flight ratings on the MD3s still list it as 5/5/0/3 (MD4 as 5/4/0/3) but now Discmania's site lists the MD3 as a 5/5/0/2, which I think reflects the disc more honestly.

So, the 1,2,and 3 are all 0/2 with only slight differences in speed/glide. Strange.

Flight numbers are arbitrary as all get out, so it's kinda tough to really keep it all in perspective since DM/Innova don't do half numbers, but I think 5/4/0/3 reflects the MD4 well, 5/5/0/2 reflects the MD3 well, and 5/4/0/1.5 reflects the MD2 well. Like most everything you've just gotta throw a few to figure out how they'll fly for ya.

Well now I need to decide if I bag the MD4 or RocX3 for my stable mid slot
While I like my C-Line MD3, the MD4 as a bit more overstable disc (and beadless!) sounds really good, too.

Can anyone say how the MD4 flies vs. a Discraft Hornet?

I haven't gotten my MD4 yet, but I do have a Hornet. But from what I've read from people who have thrown the MD4, I'm guessing it won't be as stable as the Hornet.

Update: Got my MD4 yesterday and my guess was correct. Not as overstable as the Hornet. Hornet is faster and more overstable, but the MD4 has more glide. The Hornet will start it's fade much sooner, and fight out of an anny earlier. But with the extra glide on the MD4 I can get more distance out of it. Both held up into the wind without issue.

Basically the Hornet is more stable and faster, works better for low height, high power shots and skips. The MD4 likes to be thrown higher so it's glide can carry it, better for high sweeping hyzers and high anhyzers that you want to pan out or flex back.
