Very cool project. If I had money to burn I'd love to help you out. Don't give up on the concept, you may well find a way to make money, or at least impress your first possible employer in the Material Science world.

Mini's would be cool, I'd go with that. Though, the look of it is sick. I'd like a dye like that on my black ions.

Throw in a flame paint job and some neon lights and this thing is ready for Fast and the Furious 7

I really do like the concept, but the price is the biggest downside. I agree with the others on the Mini concept as well. Good luck, I'm excited to see the finished product in action.

I have seriously considered minis. But it would require another separate mold. So until I have enough money from making the normal discs, I'll consider adding those in. If I made them, what size and cost would be reasonable?

Also, what are your thoughts on the size of the driver. Is 10 inches too big? I realize most are actually smaller than that, but regulations allow up to 10.5 or so. Any experience with small vs large discs?

Probably should have went with them first, would have been an easier sell....

Im not sure on the driver.....

As for the minis, I would probably be willing to pay 15-20 dollars for one....

If you end up making a mini I'd buy a couple. What about the idea of creating some kind of cool bag tags

I know this might seem backwards, but I think you should try it the other way around. Make minis to fund your main project.

It may seem crazy but have you thought about contacting any of the disc manufacturing companies? Outside shot but they may be willing to put a little grant money to research or even just give you some tips on size, shape, etc. Do not see how it could hurt.
