Not odd at all. A Maple Hill tradition.

The odd thing is that the men's Am winner isn't on the live featured card as well as has been tradition the last few years (he's on the CCDG post-produced card).

I must say that i really like Nates criticism of Paige choices on 18 . .She plays so good but she continues to throw just to many OBs . . Nate saw that 2nd OB on 18 coming LONG before Paige throw it

Well, ok. . ..BUT its odd that it was only a two players field. . .if the "price" was a live feature card in MVP open FPO . . .only TWO players signed up!?!

I don't think the berth in the pro side or the spot on the feature card is all that big of a motivator to play the am tournament. MVP Open Am side is not that big a tournament (98 total players). It wasn't even the highlight event in the area that weekend...there was an A-tier barely 200 miles away. It's a local event drawing primarily local players. Kristina is one of the better FA1 players in the area that doesn't have a ton of FA1 players overall.

I like the tradition of putting the Am winner on a featured card... just maybe not the live card. That is double the pressure and most of the time it really doesn't work out well.

With live, it is hard enough for us to get our camera guys in position because they are constantly LIVE and I prefer not always going back to the booth. And when you have one person who isn't throwing near other players, it can be difficult. At least for post production, they can just up and run. But, I do enjoy seeing locals get their time in the sun as well. It just makes our job even more difficult.
