In your eyes what is the significance of 6x? Juliana?

Basic success at this level is meeting the requirements of your sponsor which is only indirectly related to wins that involve bonuses. If a player meets their sponsor obligations and continue to produce sales, they don't have to win, Brodie being our highest profile example. It doesn't mean they don't want to win tour events, Worlds or attain other performance goals, but their survival or comfortable living isn't at stake.

I haven't been focused on the present tournament. I'm thinking so far ahead to worlds, to US women's. And I'm having a hard time or I have been having a hard time focusing on the exact shot at hand.
In her own words, these seem to be the two most important events to her

For Paige, I'm guessing it's the only logical conclusion to her disc golf career. Probably way more important than being 1000 rated. I could be wrong, but she gives off a vibe she's not going to be playing disc golf at master's age. Winning 6x this year means she's young enough to continue playing at a high level (for a few more years) which will help sell merch and validate sponsor negotiations.

If she is heading back to Hawaii this week, I'm guessing it is to look at property. She's made it very clear she wants to be on the Big Island as much as possible and is looking for a place.

Good for her. Chase your dreams.

She had a nice finishing round yesterday. She just needs to get her consistency back on having good to great rounds. Too many poor by her standard rounds are keeping her from winning.

I agree, anyone who wins Worlds could say they had a good season even if that's all they did. What I don't agree with is saying it's a bad season if someone won 10-12 tourneys, but not Worlds.
I don't know, maybe Paige has indicated it's "Worlds or bust".

I'm going to assume that Paige Pierce cares about Worlds more than any other event. I'm going to assume that Paige Pierce would be extremely dissatisfied with this season, even if she won everything else, if she didn't win Worlds. She has 5 Worlds under her belt, tying her with Elaine King and Juliana Korver for the tops all time in FPO. I'm sure Paige believes fully that she'll be strong enough to win more World Titles after this year, but she's also probably aware of the fact that she's 30 and in a field bursting with young talent. Every year she doesn't win #6 weighs more heavily.

That said - I don't think she'd call the season a failure if she won a lot and didn't win Worlds. Like everyone else - she's going to be aware that Worlds isn't what it once was. Paige is going to be aware of the fact that over 4 rounds anyone can win, especially with said young talent out there. She knows that winning Worlds isn't the same sort of bellwether for best-golfer-of-the-season that it was when it was an 8+ round sample size back in the day. She'd be pretty irked by it, and it might drive her off-season - but Worlds is a 4 round event, and that leaves a room for randomness that didn't used to exist.
5 rounds.

Who among the top players would be favored higher in 8.5 rounds versus 5? In other words, would you rank players' odds of winning in 5 rounds different from your ranking for 8.5 rounds?

Anyone 21 and younger would have better odds at 8.5 rounds.
