There was a tournament the weekend before at a private course in North Calais, VT. The top chain assemblies were removed and only the baskets remained, with thin ball golf flagpoles inserted, in order to provide visibility from afar. Once players neared the green, the flags were removed...just as in traditional golf.

That sound really really tedious to play on.

That North Calais course is something else. Private though so access only via monthly events or special requests.

the results from that tourney:

Cale Leiviska: 61
Noah Meintsma: 67
Joel Freeman: 68
Matt Bell: 68
Kevin Jones: 69
Charlie Goodpasture: 70
Matt Dollar: 73

Par is 65. Cale absolutely KILLED it. Some pros complained more than others about the lack of chains

Just watched the video DD putt out with Paige B last round. . one of the best discgolf videos ever

But one quesstion. . There was a big DD crew Close to her the whole round, is that allowed? I thought you could only have your caddie

On a similar note, I loved Paige P pulling Paige B aside and encouraging/congratulating her after hole 16. Awesome sportsmanship

Yes. Competition Manual section 3.05 says...
G. In PDGA Majors and National Tour events, the group consists of the players themselves, each player’s individual caddy, any active Tournament staff such as leaderboard attendants, Tournament Officials, etc. and any credentialed media ONLY. No other people may be with the playing group. All others (including players who have already finished their round) are considered spectators and must remain in designated spectator areas away from the playing group.
It appeared the tournament was fairly loose in terms of officially separating spectators and the playing group. From what I could tell, Mom and Dad Bjerkaas were both there in official capacities (Mom as caddy, Dad as live scoring person). The rest of the DD crew, like Rusco and Bobby and McCall, were there as spectators. Just spectators who got excellent vantage points on every hole.

Rusco and Bobby and McCall all talked to Paige during the round. . should a spectator really do that?

I know Hannah McBeth talked about this early in the year that she couldn΄t follow and talk to Paul during the round, she had to stay behind the ropes.

I dont mind that they did. . thik it should be allowed
