Update: today I shot a -1 on my home course, tying my personal best on that course. I did something with the Aviar3 that I had not been doing a lot of: using it for shorter upshots/approaches. This was necessitated by trees seemingly moving themselves to get between me and the basket.

Because I was not always throwing full-power shots (or the 85% or so that I would call "full power"), my Aviar3 definitely faded out at the end of the throws. But occasionally the wind would pick up, and my Av3 got caught up in the headwinds a couple of times. One time it stalled out and did not fade back; this shot was uphill as well as into the wind. Another time the Av3 went long and didn't fade out as much as I expected. Fortunately I made the 30-ft. comebacker.

Also, I've been interested to hear the stories of those who say the Av3 is straight for them. I'm going to work with both my Star Av3s this weekend, as I suspect one of the dics is not as OS as the other one. So I'll find out and report back. In the meantime, the Av3 continues to work very well for me, with two personal-best rounds since I got the first one...

I'm picking up a pink protostar this weekend so I'll report back with my findings.

I just came back from a lunchtime round at the local 9-holer.
The DX Av3 I've been workin' on is starting to straighten out. It's been through at least 5 one-disc rounds and had plenty of tree hits. It's a 175g blaze orange if it matters.
The 250-300' drives had less fade than the Star Av3. The HSS is still more than a regular PandA and the fade is shrinking to match a new PandA. The glide is picking up a little, too.

Good HSS, diminishing LSS as the DX breaks in, increasing glide as it breaks in... it's almost Roc or Teebird-ish, really.
So maybe this is closer to a Roc than I originally gave it credit.

mgamache8- how far are you throwing yours? They had only subtle fade even with height? Wow. The DX and Star were both fading decently tonight. Again, not quite a Rhyno but definitely more than a PandA.

Not very far at all. Maybe 280. Maybe. Probably shorter. Maybe I just got a freak one. I have 2 more new protos, but don't really want to throw them yet. Anyone have an extra stock one?

Edit: I still love and bag this disc, but it's not quite what I was expecting

That's a healthy throw for a putter!
I forgot to tag you in my previous post but mine are straightening out now. The fade is getting beat out of the DX. The fade is still in my Star, though.

I meant what was already posted, and I appreciate you and other sharing what you've experienced with the Av3.

I'm not a Rhyno expert, so maybe other Rhynos do different things. Mine is a Champion Rancho... and mine is generally less overstable than my Av3....

Infinite Discs has 'em at 175g, which is the weight mine are.

I saw those.

I should have said in any color other than yellow or orange.

They seem slow on the restock of these.
