She is deserving both as a player and as an ambassador for the brand.

Silver was already set to play USDGC so I assume Kristin will accept her invitation to play it as well. I wonder if this will encourage Paige to go ahead and play it again instead of watch as she was leaning towards.

I am almost certain Paige will be playing. In her speech at the close of USWDGC she was encouraging Kristen to do it with her.

Yeah Paige has now said on social media and in interviews a few times now that she intends to play.

Wow! This was a PDGA Major event and it felt like a PDGA Major event.

I have competed in 47 PDGA Major events including 15 USWDGC's and Virginia hit this one over the fences for a grand slam! First, three of the four courses used were on private land. These were beautiful properties with challenging disc golf. I was sooo amazed that these owners would open their properties to disc golfers! Every course was in top notch condition.

Not only did the Virginia crew add a ton of cash, but they also raised thousands of dollars for the Empowerhouse charity. I think they raised $13,000 for the charity!

It was an awesome idea to have three pools of players. While I thought it would be better having one pool or one venue, having three pools solved many of the overselling problems that plagued the event the past two years. The A pool got top treatment and only had to play three rounds on tee times. All the ladies I knew in the A pool were amazed at all the volunteers and how special they were treated. They were the main attraction and they could feel that. They even had player packs for all the Pros!

The other pools played four rounds on shotgun starts. I was afraid that three different pools would mean the ladies wouldn't have any bonding time, but Virginia took care of that, too. I got to see all my disc golf friends in all the other pools all week long, which really makes the event even more enjoyable. First, the ladies were all together at the Thursday night player meeting and dinner. Then all the ladies got together again at the Blockhouse for the "best player party ever!" Everyone loved the putting circus, the live music and of course - Tiki Golf!! Then all the players were back together again on Sunday to watch the top pros finish and attend the awards ceremony at Loriella.

The Virginia crew of the USWDGC has created a great formula on how to host this event going forward. The Pros get the glamour of the A pool and tee times and all the PDGA officials catering to them. The rest of the ams, pros and juniors can still have the opportunity to play in this special event as well and receive top notch treatment. Hawk Hollow provided a super challenge for the A pool. However, it would not have been appropriate for any other pools.

Honestly, what a difference it makes to have (and enforce) pool limits. There were no fivesomes, no ghost cards and zero added holes. With this three pool set up on four courses, the event could potentially host 244 players - professionally. The A pool can host at least 100 players on tee times and the two other pools can cap out at 72 players. Another feature that the players liked: each pool of players only had to practice and play TWO courses. While some Ams might prefer to play more rounds on more courses, this was a great compromise.

My first USWDGC in 2002 had 44 women with 18 women in Open. This event had 166 players with 52 open women! What a difference!

Other things done that were Major Level: Approximately eight million volunteers that were all wearing bright pink shirts. Complimentary snack stations at each course as well as multiple water stations on every course. Lunch on Saturday for pools that played two rounds. Several portable johns at every course. Water and portable johns were set up early for the practice rounds as well. And the player party at the Blockhouse was the funnest player party ever. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I had an early tee off on Saturday.

I hope that this crew will bid for every USWDGC going forward. I can't wait to come back!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the volunteers that made this the BEST USWDGC EVER!
