Default BlueGill Extinct?! Say it ain't so!

I just noticed that the favorably reviewed BlueGill DGC in Michigan has passed on...does anyone have any info on this? Is it just being pulled from public view yet still in the ground for "the chosen" (and if so, PM me if the info shouldn't be known here), or is it really gone for good? I'm heading across the pond on the S.S. Badger in May to play the Mason County courses and their adjacent brethren, and was hoping to make a special voyage out to this gem.

I'm pretty sure it's still in but not for public use. Seems far fetched to be "pulled"..
