Default Discmania molds similar to Zone and Pure

For you Discmania throwers out there, what molds from them are most similar to the ESP Zone and Opto Pure? I'm guessing they don't have a mold that matches up with the Zone, but what is the closest?

And what flies the most similar to an Opto Pure?

Purely based on the numbers, a P3 would be closest to a Zone. But you'll have a hard time finding a flat P3, and it won't be as overstable as a Zone.

P2 might be the closest to a Pure? I haven't thrown a P1X but the numbers say that might be the closest.

A P1X will have a slightly more pronounced bead, but is very close to a Pure. However, they only come in D, P, G, and X plastics. No S-Line or C-Line, so not exactly like the premium Opto stuff. I have been enjoying X-Line P1X's for long, glidey straight shots and shaped left to right approaches, but there's no Champ or Star versions yet.

The P3 is a solid disc, but will never be as OS as a Zone. Almost better off with a S-Line MD3 to match an ESP Zone and don't put as much power behind it.

Just throw that zone for now. Nothing in DM line up like a gator or zone just yet.

I use my FD2 powered way down if I need something like a Zone-ish flight.

Really though, I just use my Zone.

The P3 is Discmania's overstable putter. My C-Line P3 is a good disc, but it almost comes out of my hyzer throws (almost hyzer-flips), and so when I throw a hyzer I tend to get more consistent results with my S-Line P2. Throwing flat, the P3 exhibits a bit more fade, but not as much as what I understand the Zone to do. I'd more readily recommend Discmania's sister company's Star Gator than the P3 as a Drone-like disc.

As to the Pure... maybe the P1 or P1X. I just throw my Opto Pure. Again, the sister company's Nova would be the closest thing I know of to a straight-flying Pure.
