Default New Max D Driver Suggestions

So I've picked up disc golfing again after about a 15 year hiatus, been going every day and having a blast. I throw RHBH pretty much exclusively. I've been trying to consistently birdie Hole #1 @ Plamann Apple Creek (463' slow sloping down hill so it plays a bit shorter). I tend to take the open line to the right over the road and have my disc fade back left to be near the basket. I can get my champion Roadrunner (172g) about 375'-400' out with a nice toss and I could get my old Vulcan (175g; recently lost to a deep pond) closer to 420' or so as long as I didn't turn these discs over.

I recently picked up a discraft Crank (172g) hoping it would be a bit more OS than the above discs but I've found more times than not I tend to crank the Crank over into the most amazing annys ever and when I do get a solid toss, it lands somewhere between the where the Roadrunner and the Vulcan did.

I've also tried a Blizzard Boss I found in the pond looking for Vulcan (seems pretty darn light no markings) but I can crank that one over into a huge gliding anny too.

Out of desperation I bought a nice used Nuke OS (flat top) and there is no way I can get that disc to turn over ever (it will fly pretty straight, maybe a hair right and flatten out briefly before hooking hard left) but I'm also not getting the distance I can get with the Crank. The Crank probably goes 30-60' further than the Nuke OS on a good toss.

I realize I started with some pretty understable discs that I probably hyzerflip them for the distance, but I need a disc that will NOT TURNOVER on a good rip but isn't as insane as the Nuke OS. I would like to ideally get down to the basket or even a bit beyond it.

I am considering a Z Nuke (172g) and am looking for suggestions because I tire of buying discs that just aren't working for me. I basically throw Innova or Discraft, so hit me up with some suggestions and I'll let you know what I settled on and how it works out.

Thanks!

I really like my Tern Champ 166. I've gotten 440-450 out of that sucker. It's my current go to distance driver.

Nuke will be a bit more stable then a Crank so you probably are on the right track. Star Boss or Destroyer would be in the ballpark also.

The big z cranks are more overstable than esp... im not sure about the champ tern, but the gstar terns are probably a touch too understable for what you are looking for. Maybe try a destroyer, or Legacy Cannon.

Between those two companies, it's gonna be a destroyer all day

Thanks for the suggestions so far! Though I said I usually throw Innova or Discraft I am open to any manufacturer's disc that will get me longer, more reliable D.

If your Crank is ESP, you should try a Z. They are decidedly more overstable. If your Crank is already Z, a Z Nuke sounds like the disc for you.

I can really punch my lat 64 GL bolt farther than anything else. With a hyzer flip.
