Already happened...remember how the show Happy Endings handled the sport? The backlash from that was pretty epic. A lot of hurt butts. Enough that they released an "apology" video mocking us even further.

But, disc golf should have Red Bull as a sponsor and be on Primetime ESPN so people can watch it in Buffalo Wild Wings during dinner.

The PDGA should really sink a bunch of time and resources into that.

Maine? I'd expect curling in Maine!

There's been a curling club down here for years, played at one of the local ice rinks. Then, a few years ago, they built their own facility, has a bar and everything pretty cool in there!

It's all about accessibility

Everyone has some cups, not everyone has access to a disc golf course

This is really the only appropriate answer. I'll never understand why people need their leisure time activity "validated" by seeing it on mainstream TV.

Have you seen the discussions about Climo vs McBeth? Some claim there are top level athletes playing this game. I'm still trying to figure out who they're talking about.

Consumerist brainwashing tends to bring that inferiority complex out in people. Some of them sadly are beyond reproach.

I skimmed through the thread and maybe I missed this, so apologies in advance if so. I believe one reason we don't like watching a game for three hours on TV anymore is because of the advertising. It seems to me that there is a lot less game on and a lot more ads on during one hour of television than ever before. And its killing our attention spans, and possibly rightly so.

I'll go to a UGA game, and they have a kickoff, then a 'timeout for television' that is three full minutes. Then let's say a team scores... three minute 'timeout for television', then a 20 second kickoff, then another three minute 'timeout for television'.

They complain about baseball games being so long. Decades ago, an inning ended, the sides changed, the pitcher got his ten warm-up pitches, the umpire yelled 'Batter up!' and away we went. Now... five minutes between every half inning, every pitching change, etc. 'timeout for television'.

But the above does not explain why cornhole gets ESPN coverage and DG doesn't. I blame a lot of it on Dodge and Jussi. (not being facetious, there).
