And the Rival isn't really THAT teebirdy either

Patriot is like a better leopard3 - Rival is.....well, I didn't really like the Rival, but I have only thrown 2 of them.

Straight, then reliable fade (somewhat forward in the case of my rivals), seems awfully teebird like to me.

But, that's a different thread.

the rivals I threw didn't feel anything like a teebird and didn't fly as fast nor as stable. But they were early Icons. So I'm sure the newer Pinnacle or Sparkle etc are TB in flight. Not trying to knock the Rival, I just prefer a TB if I'm going to throw a Stable Fairway

Wow, Rivals are basically cloned Teebirds. The only difference I can find is a slightly flatter top.

I gotta check em out again - its been a while - like I said I had a couple Icon Rivals. So maybe different runs different plastics were ...well....different.

I think they are all at least as fast...they feel slightly sleeker than a Teebird to me. The rim weighting feels slightly more noticeable too. This is near splitting hairs, but I have thrown Teebirds for years so I am familiar with how they feel.

I agree that the few Rivals I have thrown are on the straighter end of Teebirds, like 0/2 how I like them, sometimes with a hint of turn. Whereas some fresh Teebirds can be +0/3 almost.

I think what it comes down to is I look for the long straight Teebirds, not the beefy ones, so I have liked the Rivals I have thrown.

Yeah, Rival is pretty much a straight up reverse engineered Teebird. Only differences would be the same as you find run to run with actual Teebirds and varying plastics. Like the my newer Icon Rival is not as stable as a fresh star but is very similar to the new Pro.

BACK to the OP... Has anyone mentioned the Beast? the Bandit and Beast seem very similar to me, so take the pick both have Patriot like flight in a Speed 10 disc.
