Default Defender...Fact or Fiction?

Anybody got feedback on this disc? Supposedly very long. I saw one at the DG store the other day, very shallow rim on the inside and very flexible/gummy. BTW the Groove is the best thing since (insert pun)!

It can be very long if you find the right line to put it on. Needs some space to work if I recall. Understable... near a Valkyrie? Someone may need to help me with that one. Sure is fast though, but its an ok disc in my opinion. Prototypes are supposedly more stable according to Quest.

I've got one of the protos, and it is one of the most stable futher-muckers I've ever thrown. More overstable than 1st run Z-Xtremes, Proline Monsters, Champion Maxes, or Spirits. Most similar to proto E-speed demons.

Very weird to have a super-floppy disc with dimples and a thin rim-depth that is hard to throw more than ~200' because it flips back hyzer so quickly.

I've heard that the production-run discs are less crazy. But the protos are bizarre.

I got 80/20 Defender. I try to steer toward Quest's discs more often.

Anyway, it flies pretty straight with S-drive and far but not as far as Raging Inferno DT does. Must be my throwing form or something. Wish this disc's edge are more sharper, not too rounded as it was made. Its already understable when its new.

Maybe after couple good break-ins, it might improve...

I've never thrown one but what's unusual is that Joes (http://gottagogottathrow.com/discgol...ightChart1.pdf) says that it has a range of 4.5 but a power requirement of only 2. That is unheard of. It sounds like it's basically a dimpled archangel....sounds like a great weak arm/beginner disc...unless you have a prototype like T I M does.
