Well, for a while it really felt like I was pulling something heavy and accelerating it all the way through the hit, but I'm stuck in a rut. I've lost the feeling of the weight of the disc. I'm willing to really break down my form this winter, and I'm on a quest for 500 ft. Please help me get my timing and body positioning right so I can feel the weight! Thanks!

What kind of distance are you getting right now? A full speed clip along with a slow mo clip is most helpful! It's easy to see body positions in slow mo but rhythm and pacing are much easier to see full speed.

With distance drivers and a run-up I am consistently hitting 400-420 ft.
With a nasty line I can sometimes hit 450-475, but not consistent. Really I would like to make that 450-475 on demand. Here is full speed: |

Thanks Keltik, I'll give that a try. Maybe my grip/wrist/forearm whole mechanism is kind of frozen at the crucial moment.

You're leading with your shoulder too much instead of leading with the hips. Watch Schustrick in this video, pay attention to his left knee as he's driving. He plants, then the knee points in which starts the whole kinetic chain.

Not bracing the front side properly, your front knee goes past your foot and everything flies too open. Close your stance and shift your weight from behind, watch how different you setup than Dion especially with the front foot:

Thanks Roflsocks. I totally see what you mean. Let's see if I can get my body to move that way.
