Angry Alright, alright, I need my form roasted.

My scores have plateaued (right under to right over par), regardless of the course I'm playing, my lines are inconsistent, my snap is inconsistent, and my max distance is also plateauing around 375-400 (inconsistently getting that distance though). I have some beautiful shots then I immediately follow them with bad ones.

I'm currently breaking down my form and building it back up to get more hip and shoulder engagement. I took some video at the field yesterday and I can already see some very ugly things with my "new" form. My muscle memory is crap at this point. I hate it. I'm not bracing, my plant foot is often not closed, I'm not engaging my hips and shoulders well, I'm coming through too early?, my balance is ugly, I'm not driving the disc, my release angles are all over the place, I'm often all arm, my follow through sucks...

I need some serious help. I've made a decision to turn my will and my life over to the care of the DGCR god as I understand Him. ROAST ME.

Videos are in order from the start to the end of my session yesterday. My apologies about the quality of some of it.

I would abandon the x-step for a bit and work on the fundamental motion and stance.

1. You are swinging downward with the disc nose up.

2. You are planting very turned open to target and chest is facing target before you start extending the elbow. Chest should still be closed to target when extending the elbow.

3. Note how far you have accelerated the disc while Eagle keeps his relatively in place.

4. Note how far back your shoulders are behind your rear foot and they stop turning back as you stride into the plant, and actually start opening before you plant. Note how Eagle's shoulders are in front of the rear foot and turning back further striding into the plant.

5. Note how far your lead shoulder travels while Eagle's lead shoulder barely moves while his trail shoulder moves a much larger distance behind and closer to target.

You sir, are a magician. I have actually been doing a lot of standstill practice as I'm trying to fix my form but I wanted to get some video of my current wrecked full form for form checks. My standstill does feel much better than my current full windup/x-step at least. The muscle memory is non-existent when I go with the full motion though. My full form actually feels worse and more strange than it did before I made a goal to fix things haha. There's multiple new things I'm trying to focus on and they're not working together at the moment. Gotta break it down before I build it back up one by one I guess! Thanks a ton for your feedback. Very excited to get back out to the field.

Default Alright, alright, I need my form roasted.

That’s a whole lot of fidgeting and moving around before your throw. No way I could focus on what I’m trying to do squirming around like that before every shot.

I’m not one to give pointers on overall form but I’m sure getting yourself set and lined up without shifting everything all over the place has to help.

Yep, that's not typical. Been happening since I started trying to fix my form. Until last week I pointed my disc straight out as I started my walk up, for example. Now I'm trying to figure out what to do with my hands! I have too many things flying through my head. No muscle memory. No chill.

Added a practice video. I'm mainly focusing on my brace and hip engagement in these ones. Some reps felt/look better than others for sure. I'm also pretty fidgety right now with all my form changes and new details I've learned flowing thru my head.

If you guys have any tips, feel free to roast me!

Stop bending your knees before you start, you get into terrible S-posture or anterior pelvic tilt doing that. Should not bend both knees together like a jack-in-the-box, one bends and the other extends to move fluidly.

Stand up before you start moving, then you can bend naturally with motion.

Slow down and Toss a heavy hammer effortlessly and fluidly.
