Default TX-LA-AR-OK in 2018

Planning a visit to this area (roughly Dallas-Shreveport-Arkadelphia-McAlester-Dallas), and have a flexible schedule. Looking for recommendations for the time of year to visit, i.e. more likely to be dry than wet/humid, calm than windy, cool/moderate than hot. Thanks!

Buffalo Run in McAlester. The Lodge courses in Pawhuska, Oklahoma are a must. Blackhawk in Tulsa.

Spring is my favorite for Oklahoma but also carries the chance of crazy, stormy weather. Fall is probably your best bet.

Don't forget Harry Myers in Rockwall, east of Dallas, and the Selah and Trey Ranch courses in Mt. Vernon. You'd have to take I-30 and go a bit out of your way, but they're definitely some of the better options.

I agree that the Lodge (both courses) and Blackhawk are probably the best in OK but might be a bit out of your way.
