Definitely a ‘dense’ layout

To the orig. post, my high 5 are:
Lakewood (white bear lake)
The Valley (inver grove heights)
Bryant Lake (eden prairie)
Blue Ribbon Pines (east bethel)
Oakwood (cottage grove)

Haven’t played Vision Quest (east bethel) or Kenwood Trails (Lakeville), have heard good things

Awesome offer Martin! Will definitely hit you up when it gets closer and see if things will work out. Looks like it will be the last weekend in June we will be in Minneapolis so either just before or after that I will be road tripping. Always fun to play to private courses so I do appreciate the offer. I will either be driving solo or with one other friend if his wife lets him cut loose for the trip.

Thanks to everyone else for the tips on the courses as well. As it gets closer and we lock in the dates and start to plan courses I will def revisit this thread for some fine tuning.

Sorry to derail your thread there, FP.

If you end up road tripping through Martin's place, depending on your route there or to the cities, you could stop in Red Wing and do a really quick 9 at Memorial Park. https://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=494
The course is nothing special... basically grass and a few trees... but it sits on top of one of the huge bluffs in town overlooking the river. If you're driving by it's worth a stop just for the views on a nice day. Here's a photo from next to my car in the parking lot by Hole 1.

Derail away, the more info the better to me. Some of the guys I meet up with come from Colorado, Florida and Virginia Beach may fly in just for a few days to play and go back. I turn it into a full on week long vacation or more and break up my drive by stopping and playing courses along the way to bag some new states and courses. Maximize my disc golf trip.

Drove to Virginia Beach (2013), stopped in PA and played Deer Lakes
Drove to Iowa (2015), stopped in Illinois and played Highland Park and The Canyons
Drove to Kansas (2017), stopped in MO and played Water Works

The Road Trip feature on here with VIP membership is one of my favorites.

It's possible I have some of the back 9 built by then as well. And that will be something special.

We stopped there last summer and someone near hole 1 was talking about creating a second 9 and utilizing the woods. I didn't know you were working on that. Very cool.

And it's not that the course is terrible on top of the bluff. We whipped through it quickly and enjoyed it, there just isn't much to work with in a grass field.

It's going to be epic. No matter what design we come up with. I need to finish up the map and get it sent in. Maybe I'll work on that tonight.

My favorite courses in the twin cities:

Kaposia
Bryant Lake
The Valley
Hansen
Lakewood
CP Adams
Acorn
Oakwood
Basset Creek
Kenwood

Don't forget to swing by GGGT.

How will you be travelling to Minnesota? There are a ton of great courses in Wisconsin.

Oh yes, definitely hit up Gotta Go Gotta Throw if you get a chance. They have a pretty good variety to choose from.
