I live in Minnesota. There is snow on the ground(thankfully melting).
Still, I need to get back to basics, and when winter does kick in, and I am clad in parka and snow boots, what better way to work on standstill and angle control? I tried half-heartedly last winter: the mids and the rest slowly crept back in. This winter, game on. I reorganized my discs from by brand to by class, and have a more clear idea which discs to give the attention. I never realized I have 20+ putters from various manufacturers. ![]() Sponsored Links

I sometimes think that I'm going to throw nothing but putters for a while, but then I realize that I don't want to throw infinite janky hyzer flips. I'm considering some more Mids/Putters only rounds though.

Git gud, with all due respect. Those hyzerflips won't be janky if you practice them.

While I normally agree with Grip, I don't here. I'm messing around with a Comet and am trying to mix it up with some more US molds. Getting back to basics and getting a "base" to start from starting next spring. He's not wrong, I'm not saying that. If you're going to do it, stick with it. I don't. That's why I throw not very far and he throws Comets, sidearm, 5 bills.
Plus I'm way older than him. ![]()

Snow golf is an annoying hassle.
A few years ago we decided to just throw Zephyrs and Condors for winter rounds. Much more pleasant never looking for discs.

Deputys, Pures, and Comets are all I plan to throw for the next 3 months or so.
One nice part of my local park course is that the entire area that holds the course is closed off to vehicle traffic, and most people that walk the park walk in a different area in the winter, so I can pick different places around the park to create new holes to create new challenges for myself without having to worry about vehicles or pedestrians. |

With the range of putter varieties nowadays I have no problems throwing all putter rounds. Between things like the Pure, Zone, Pig and any of the understable / stable offerings, you can get pretty much any shot with just putters. BH or FH no problem. There's no better feeling than throwing a beautiful flip up to turnover controlled shot that lands perfectly in the fairway further than your buddy throwing speed12 distance drivers.

Flipping my SE Rhyno up to flat might be the favoritest thing I do off the tee.
