Default What should I fix first?

Hi,

With drives I've been at a plateau for a while. Distance is between 280 and 310, and with nowhere near the consistent accuracy I'd like. I've read a lot here, and I've watched a lot of videos. I finally decided to put myself on video. Ouch, what a humbling experience. I know it's a horror show with many things to correct. What would you recommend that I work on first?

I was surprised to see my toes so far ahead of my heel on the plant. Is getting that crush-the-can step the first thing I should fix to work toward a solid brace? (Trying to think about building from the ground up.)

(The crazy thing is that with a baseball bat or a golf club I swing right handed and left-foot forward, and I can feel that ground-up power. It's a very natural feeling. With my right foot leading a right-handed disc throw, my lower body feels foreign through the motion.)

Thanks in advance for your advice,
Joseph

Opening up early. Yeah step closed so you can maintain angles longer. Disc is way behind and rounding/slipping out.

So much this.
A couple things Ive been doing is go back to baseball bat right handed, then (and I was worthless trying to bat left handed) replicate that feeling left handed, then grab a disc. Try and connect the hips and hands.
I have this enormous disconnect between my feet and hips and upper body right now.

YES ground up. But I would also say go back to stand still. It will help eliminate the early turn and let you feel the balance and hips and get your foot angles sorted out. Then it is about timing.

Numero uno would be swinging the disc below your shoulder plane(on a parallel plane with shoulders) all the way around. You should find that you have to then adjust your body positioning to not throw the disc sky high.

Thanks for the assistance.
I was surprised to see my lead shoulder so much higher than the trailing shoulder.
I'll practice standstill throws into a net to get my shoulders and disc travelling on a lower plane, more parallel to the ground.

That's your shoulders opening up early. Plant, throw
