Default 1000 foot barrier

With Simon Lizotte, yet again, breaking the distance record with a throw of 903', how much more time will pass before, say a Drew Gibson, maybe David Wiggins or someone, will crack 1000. I compare this event to the HR Derby at the MLB All Star Game. People love to see power, no matter the sport.

Well the world record held with a Valkyrie lasted for how long? I want to say at least 8 years. So there was the Orc, Beast, SL, wraith, sidewinder, roadrunner and several others at least for innova you would also have the discs molded from discraft(dga) and even gateway that are faster then a valk and able to had in lighter weights.

Soooo.... my guess is when you get a tall basketball sized player with extremely fluid good form like well Simon and pair that with a well preforming disc and the right amount of tailwind 1000ft will fall but you have to remember 97ft is needed. Then again 1000ft could be reached next year.

Actually it will be more like this, and like so many other cross sports comparison, the only one that fits is running:

Roger Banister broke the four minute mile. How did it do it?

Hype-someone said it couldn't be done.

No one will break 1000ft if we can't as a whole get the PDGA to tweak the disc specs.

The problem is discs hit a "brick wall" so speak with velocity and inertia pushing past their threshold. We only have tweak this a bit and that valkyie sized a bit different would have went well past this lofty goal some what ten years ago.

All by the way that super freak tall sized basket ball player already happened-Scott Stokely.

I think his head occasionaly smashes into the top of door frames for reference.

Scott propelled the cyclone, xclone and xl to great proportions. I don't know if could've beat simon's throw. But he was so much further than everyone during his time. Unbelievable really.

My money is still on Scott Stokely, Pete Albers and Ken Jarvis for breaking a grand.

Dude mashed an X-Clone almost 700 ft... That is nigh-impossible. In his prime, if he had today's discs, Stokes would've gotten the job done, I would wager.

I would like to see a push for 2 records, one with unlimited wind (as it is now) and one with winds having to be 10mph or less.
