Default Another impulse buy. Need some info.

For some reason I couldn't resist buying this R-Pro XD. It's 171 and gummier than any Blowfly or Gumbputt or anything I've ever held. The fish is very appropriate because it reminds me of a fish flopping around out of water when you fan it.

How many of these were made? I think I got the only one over 170 grams

the first pic makes it look like it has a thumbtrac

i owned an r-pro aviar for all of 16 holes before i lost it, went to buy another one months later but decided they were just too floppy to putt with.

That's the same problem I have. If anybody's interested I'd trade mine for a good condition Proto-Star Boss (preferably 170-172g).

I'll probably take that thing off your hands. I don't wanna use mine but it would be easier for me to try out an already used one. Anything else you are looking for other than FR Bosses?

I went to the Discovering The World warehouse sale today so am completely overflowing with more discs than I could possibly use in the near future (3 of us spent close to half a grand!). That's why my wants are usually just the more esoteric stuff.

I'd be interested in a max-weight 11x gummy Champion Aviar if you've got a line on one, otherwise would offer the XD at $35 shipped. I only threw it about 5 times and couldn't get used to the floppyness.

BTW, I looked through some of my old notes and I think there were only three of these floppy XDs made at over 170g, with mine being the only max-weight one (supposedly, anyways).

I'll think about doing 35 for it. It's not super important for me to throw one. Probably would just use it for a round or two and unless it turns me into the best putt in disc golf I'll eventually give it to my friend who is an XD freak.

No hurry... Just let me know if/when you interested in buying it. In the mean time I'm content to keep it for the cool factor.

I think it could work for people who do hyzer putts, but I spin-putt and the floppyness is hard to get used to.

My wife has 3 r-pro xds.

a prototype which is pretty floppy
the yellow japan open which is very floppy (170g)
and a big d that is regular r-pro stiff

she can throw the yellow one quite far.

They are good in the cold, they stiffen up quite a bit.
