Am I the only person who just doesn't care for premium Rocs?

no, you're not.
I'm going to beat this one until I win and hopefully I'll eventually end up with a seasoned DX Rancho flight. I'm just afraid of how long that will take.

DX have been my go-to for years. I carried a KC for slightly OS needs but DX was definitely the one I liked more. Cycling Rocs (DX or KC) is a thing of beauty I never needed to look for anything else.

I just got the bug to try something new so here we are! Anyone taking bets on how long before I give up trying to beat him into submission? LOL

Arnold has a normal amount of dome just above the wing where the thick disc geometry dictates the dome. But beyond that point it just ramps up to a new level of dominess.
Again, I'll have to take a photo and post

I thought it would feel weird in the hand but it isn't bad at all, at least not for my personal grip. If you put your thumb towards the middle of the disc then it might be an issue.

They feel great (I love star plastic), just don't fly all that great.

Nope. I like the Champ Rancho and Star Ontario I've bagged, but I'll reach for a KC every time. While I know a lot of people don't look at anything but DX as baseline, I do consider KC Rocs to be a "premium" baseline as opposed to just premium.

I'm not a huge fan either. They generally just don't seem to go as far, at least not OOTB. I'm sure I could beat one in for a while and it would end up going just as far, but then I'd have a disc in my bag I was even MORE afraid to lose because of how long it would take to get another into that shape. I'd rather just cycle DX's. They still take a while to get to that magic point, but they start out closer and get there in a matter of months rather than years...

All that said, I've got a couple F2 Color Glow Ranchos from last USDGC that feel great and are very nicely overstable. I should probably put one back in the bag for fun. They're still like 30 feet shorter than even a fresh DX though.

those 2016 usdgc champ lucha rocs are something i was looking for forever: an overstable rancho roc that's in between a roc3 and gator.

i use it for something that needs to go 250-300 and predictably finish strong. it's good in the wind too!

i'm legit angry at myself for not buying a bunch of seconds when they were cheap at DGU.

I have some Star & Champion Rocs. I prefer the Champion USDGC Rancho Rocs. Star Rocs always seem that have a lot of dome. I agree Champs don't fly as far as DX/KC. I keep one in my bag because I trust it more in a headwind than a new KC. I actually just put Rocs back in my bag. I was experimenting with Roc3s/Mako3s during the winter. I just can never bring myself to not cycle Rocs when spring/summer (tournament season) comes around.

Or never loved the Star ones and only have one USDGC champ that I really liked. Honestly I like the after they beat in a bit in base because it wears the bead down, and I don't love that big bead.

That was the whole reason the Bard made my bag, it's like a high shouldered Roc with the bead already broken in.
