Default Is there something wrong with my Roc3 or is it just me?

I just got a new 180 gram champ Roc3 and found that it turns over even on low powered shots. I was shocked by this since I had another champ Roc3 around 175 grams and found it to be dead straight until it was beat in a bit (and then only a slight turn on a flat release). I have read from others that the champ Roc3 is typically the most stable. Wondering if there is something wrong with the disc (it is a factory second) or am I missing something?

You shouldn't be turning it over. My guess would be that it molded up incorrectly, which is why it's a Factory Second.

BTW, I bag a Champ Roc3, but Champs actually aren't the most stable. From the ones I've thrown, it would be Metal Flake > Glow Champ > Champ > G* > McGlow.

I’ve had some that were less stable, but never super flippy. You must have got a fluky one.

Thanks. I don't necessarily need it to be overstable. I just liked my first one that was super straight out of the box for forehands, and never got too flippy.

Could you post a side by side pic of the side view of your 2 Roc3s? That might help us explain what is the issue, if there is one with the new Roc3.

Here is a shot of the new disc. Unfortunately, I don't have the other one. I lost it on a steep downhill shot (should have been out in the open) two weeks ago, hence the new one.

It looks like your's has a smaller bead, some dome, and a more rounded shoulder. I'd say that is where the problem lies, but I'd have to throw it to be sure. I've got a 180 Shimmer Star that is straight to fade, with the closest to 0,3 flight I've seen out of a Roc3.

If you're throwing them Forehand, it very well may be OAT (Off Axis Torque).

I could be wrong and your FH could be super clean.

I'm guessing that the first Roc3 molded up more stable/OS than this one, which is why you're turning the new one over.

Or perhaps the other one is more flat and the dome on this one is messing up your grip.

Shark3 ? Mis-stamp-a-roni?

I have zero faith in f2 stock from Innova and the straight up f2 stamp gives me the hrmmmms.
