Default Ozone Discs Hyperion

Ozone Discs first driver the Hyperion is nearing an official release! We are currently waiting for the production discs to arrive from our manufacturer to nail down final flight numbers. Tester prototypes were in the 11/12 speed, 4/5 glide range and pretty stable with little to no turn and a stiff late fade.. We have made a slight tweak for production and expect the production run to be slightly less stable but we can't know for sure until they come in. We will post updates to this thread when they come in.

FYI, Although the stamp says PDGA approved discs have not actually been tested. This was only added to test the stamp placement on the disc.

Haha that's a cool name. So what are we thinking ? Like a Wraith? More OS like an Xcal? What are you thinking.

Thanks!. Testers were more like an XCal. We ended up slightly changing
the wing shape because it's dimensions ended up really close to PDGA specs and we didn't want to chance failing. It was a minor change but we didn't get a chance to 3d print and test the tweak. I'd expect it to land somewhere between a wraith and an xcal.

Can't wait to try one out! Faction for life!

Personally, I would think something more similar to an XCal would move better since the market has been flooded recently with 11/5/-1/2 type discs. While these "Control Distance Drivers" are great for all skill levels, there have been 4-5 new molds with similar flight ratings in the last few months. A more overstable faction driver with higher speeds than the Raptor would definitely be interesting.

Cheers!

Default Production results

Production Hyperions are in!! Out of the box they definitely seem to have remained pretty overstable. More testing needs to be done but first impression we would say 11,5,0,4 out of the box. They have good glide and have a nice long straight flight before a hard consistent fade. Disc dimensions all seem to check out and we anticipate no issues with PDGA approval. We will keep you posted. Videos to come soon!

Default Hyperion Presale

Hey guys sorry for the long delay but Hyperions are officially up for presale at www.ozonediscs.com!. Discs are not yet formally approved but we anticipate the annoucement any day now. The official run molded up pretty beefy and preliminary flight numbers are 11, 4, 0, 4. They fly fast with medium glide and are great forehanders and backhanded. Give one a shot and let us know what you think. We anticipate shipping these out shortly after the official announcement comes out, maybe even sometime next week.
