Default Has anyone tried the discs from Franklin Sports?

I am talking about this set here

http://franklinsports.com/shop/disc-golf-discs-3-pack

I picked up a set at wal-mart tonight for 10 bucks just because I thought it was odd that wal-mart had golf discs. However, I can't seem to find anything about them on the web. Has anyone here tried them?

The blue is long range, the white is mid, and the orange is the putter.

The driver and mid are 160 grams and the putter is 167.

They seem to be very hard plastic, I don't know if they are hard and brittle, or just hard. I hope to take them out soon and see if I like them. The rims on the undersides are unfinished feeling and kind of sharp, but I kind of dig the putter.

I also like the names. The Albatross for the driver, Sparrow for the mid, and Night Owl for the putter. Those are some seriously cool names.

Ok. I am taking these back. They are so understable that they are unusable. I do not have a super strong arm. I throw my mids in the 280-320 range, and my drivers no more than 400 99% of the time. I gave the driver a rip and it went about 75', flipped up on its end, then flipped over upside down and fell right out of the sky. I tried the same with the midrange and it acted the same way.

The putter flew decently for about 200' and banked softly to the left. If these weren't a three piece set I would keep the putter, but there is no way I am keeping the others. A shame. I was hoping that they would at least be usable.

I guess that is why there isn't much information on these anywhere.

I tried a Whamo starter set from Ollie's (a discount store) a few years ago. They were hard like you describe these. They went right back to the store, too.

The fact that these exist means something, and it's a good something I think. People must be showing up at sporting goods stores and asking about disc golf. It makes Innova's 3 packs of old dx discs look great.
