But is there a way besides using the scorecard to verify if people play at these courses because anyone can just keep looking up courses and marking as played

The stakes are so low that even if someone was pencil whipping their list of played courses, there's minimal harm. It's just internet points.

Stare into my wife's cold, lifeless eyes, while I recall individual accounts of our course expeditions. That's all the proof you'll need

Fake played courses with fake PDGA numbers. By George, we've found the reason the game isn't mainstream.

I’m actually pretty disappointed in myself this year. With few days left I’ve only played 7 new courses in 2018, far short of my goal of 12. And it has left me at a disappointing 67 overall and only two new states added. I hope to get one more new course, but probably no new states.

A mixtures of traveling with less flexible companions on work trips, and a cruise being the only vacation I’ve taken really made this a tough one on a wanna be course bagger.

Oh well, 2019 is a new year and I can hopefully get back to my 20+ course days of 2014/15.

I’d be happy to get to +20 in 2019 as well.

2018 will be my last big year for course bagging… (something I also said in dec 2016 and dec 2017), But this time I mean it. I ended up eclipsing the century mark for the second year in a row. 122 new courses and 135 different courses played. it might go up a couple, there are 5 days left
