boggles my mind he can get his legs/hips to rotate that much mid stride.

It's hard for me to get my butt forward like that without turning back too early and coming off my heel. Just that flexibility to load the hips away with femur rotation. I've literally been spending time balancing on my left/right leg and rotating my hips to try and acclimate to the feel.

At first I thought you had chosen my first throw for this and I was like, I thought I did a better job getting off that back foot in my first throw, but that's a fairway toss, I see now. Another weird thing is when I'm planting my left foot, it absolutely feels perpendicular to the target, but low and behold in actuality it's always at an angle.

Try one leg drill or balance on the left leg...can either swing a hammer with left arm to mirror RHBH or with the right arm to mimic RHFH or the backswing of RHBH. If you feel how to be in balance on the left leg in order to turn back, then you'll hopefully wait during the X-step to be in balance and THEN turn back.

Lol feel ain't always real. You can turn the rear foot back slightly more.

Your right foot is kicking the can to the left. Eagle is kicking the can to the right and that inward torque circles the foot back left into the plant like Lizotte.

Tell me about feel, I also felt like I was staggering my feet a lot more than that.

Could you elaborate on the can kicking thing?

I'm gonna mess around with an idea of a drillish thing moving forward to hopefully work on femur rotation. - based off SP's idea

You are more staggered than Eagle there.

See how my foot kicks from outside-in to the right across the rear foot. You are kicking inside-out across your rear foot to the left.

Yeah I won't be able to get both leading with the butt as well as getting off that back heel without working on that leg rotation.
Also most slow mo I find looks more inside out, like Seppo here and your youtube slow mo of Brinster.
Seems like a good rule for most stagger amounts is left toe right heel.

You misunderstand because of the rear foot placement. Seppo and Brinster are kicking the can from outside-in like me, their rear foot is angled much further back so it appears more inside-out.

Outside in, do you mean like in your capoeira superginga mode flick. Actually that΄s probably not the best example now that I looked at the video. Elephant walk but sideways or something like that, if I am understanding this correctly.

This but mirrored for RHBH. (If he is using golfing terminology)

He is kicking the ball to the right of the target (with his right foot) if we assume that the camera is pointed at the target.
