I don΄t really feel my leg or femur that much compared to my hip. Okay this is probably a very weird explanation, pure feel science. My lower body shifts from behind and upper body comes after that in an angle of my reachback which is 8ish if the target is 12 and pops me onto my hip. Like a two part weight shift?

Cool, I think the "pops me onto my hip" part is the key feel thing that may help eliminate me wanting too long of a step.
