Default How much distance is reasonable for an 8 year old.

We're working on his form and distance but I have no clue what a reasonable distance is for an 8 year old. I know it's subjective but I don't see many other kids his age throw.

For an 8-year old, forget distance and concentrate on the kid having fun.

Kid learning good sportsmanship a bonus.

My son just turned 9 can throw 60m with a 150g leopard. 40m with a max weight putter.
Hes pretty big for his ages.

He has fun and loves it, and he's friends with pros and AMs. Everyone has taken under their wing and corrected any wrongs on and off the course. It's one of the reasons we love the sport

This is a video we made doing field work. We record one of the longer throws off the day. It's not his best at all, but I think with his current form and foot dragging is his distance back. I just want sure what is reasonable to expect, as we don't play with others his age. Most tourneys he's the only Jr in his group.

i would think an athletic 8 year old would be able to throw at least 200 feet.

275' is the world record for 8 year old, 200' is impressive IMO. His release looks really good from what I can see. He does appear to be squishing the bug and spinning the rear foot out, so his rear heel actually goes backward away from the target initially when he plants the front leg, and he isn't landing upright enough on the front leg, the knee should be more stacked inline with the ankle and hip.

^Can you go frame by frame or pause/rewind instagram clips?

Agree that his release and arm look great.
