It's part of his overall touring job, probably.

If you want to live off what you enjoy doing, at some point you have to treat it like a business as well.

that's my point. He isn't just our touring around event to event but rather making each trip more than just going from town to town. Hes bringing his disc golf game to the towns.

Id say he is treating it more like a business than any of the other players really outside of McBeth with his new challenges and a few others that give "lessons" but I mean... come on'

This could be an event all on its own given how it all works out down the road. Watching Simon throw is entertainment- something disc golf lacks.

I don't disagree with you, I disagree with:

Simon is the Rickie Fowler of disc golf. He's smart in building a brand that stands out early on, then coming in for the tourney-win-kill after.

Think about it... how many fans has McBeth lost because he's winning too much?

Um... Not many? If any.

Simon does like to entertain but he has so much talent. One of these tournaments he'll be on, those risk/reward shots will go mostly his way, and he will throw up some crazy numbers.

I think people are forgetting that Simon already enjoyed a high level of success while in Europe. As a result, maybe he is taking advantage of Discmania putting their weight behind him and is doing what any other 22-year-old would love to do: enjoying himself while experiencing life on the road. If that means seeing the sights or giving clinics instead of pounding in another practice round, so be it.

Yes, he is a professional disc golfer, and the expectation from spectators is that he will win. But if his main sponsor is pleased with his level of success, and he is growing their brand via his own way of exposure, then we can probably all stop worrying about when/if he is going to rack up more wins and just enjoy the show.
