Ever been to Central Park? Would be a terrible idea. Too many people, not enough available space.

Yup, if it's on the Internet it must be true. BTW I've got some pristine oceanfront property in Arizona up for sale if you're interested.

I was curious what they'd do this year... their home page hadn't been changed yet when I checked about 7AM this morning.

I guess if you're not interested in growing the sport, it's a terrible idea. I can respect that. I'm personally ambivalent about whether the sport grows or not. However, if your in the grow-the-sport camp, installing a course in the most famous park in the most famous city in the world seems like the opposite of terrible.

800 acres isn't enough space? Too many people? I'm not talking about laying out a track through the Great Lawn or Sheep Meadow. But there's plenty of room north of 97th st. Like in the North Woods:

There might be reasons why a course could not be installed in Central Park but lack of space and too many people aren't among them.

If Central Park isn't feasible, there are plenty of other NYC parks that should be explored. Prospect & Inwood to name two.

Point is that if people want to grow the sport, installing courses in culturally significant urban settings like NYC is one of the best investments that can be made. Golden Gate DGC is a good example of what I'm talking about. To grow the sport, there should be a Golden Gate DGC equivalent in every city the size of SF or bigger.

PoeMurphy gets April Fool of the day! Cripes, I've never seen so many bites on one post. I admit to some jealousy.

Last year, portable tee pads.
Year before, LOC8, a GPS enabled disc.
Year before that, Throton...speed 15 super driver.
Year before that, the Southpaw line, discs for lefties.
Year before that, the QuiveR, one disc with four rims...driver, fairway, mid, putter.
