Default What are you disc golf thankful for?

I’ve had some recent health challenges that may jeopardize my future playing the game that I love. It’s made me reflect on nearly 40 years of playing. I’m thankful for these things.
Course designers and volunteers
Friends I’ve made and played with for years
Excellent tournament content by many providers
UDisc
Madison Walker’s laugh
Big Sexy commentary
The Comet
Catrina’s driving excellence
McBeth’s level of commitment
Simon’s enthusiasm
That “soft” course Blue Ribbon Pines and the whole Jordan family

What are yours?

Finally getting a small course installed in Cumberland, MD.

DGCR meetup friends.

Fun times with my daughter on the course.

I’ll have to make the trip from Baltimore or tie a visit with playing other courses “out west.” Congrats on the course!

Time with my sons on the course.

The people who pick up all the beer cans and cigs left by sh*t birds.

Minnesota forests and trees and time spent wandering.

Smashboxx bringing the live coverage - sorry post production.

First run FDs, R-pro Cros, Star rats and P2s. Thank you for making me better.

My wife who holds down the fort with my boys as I run out for early morning Sunday rounds - my therapy from the stresses of work.

My regrets are that I was 67 years old before I played my first round of disc golf. I'm thankful that I am now almost 75 and am still playing the game.

Just thankful to have found the game this year. It comes at a perfect time in my life when I needed some motivation to get healthier, and it turns out that it's a really interesting game for all its subtleties, a great learning process, and practically free.

All the places I've been, people I' ve met and courses I've played through this site.

Very thankful to have played many of them with my son.

Very thankful to all the private courses owners who've been gracious enough to let me enjoy their creations as well as their company.

The fact I have been able to play this sport/game with my relatives all on our vacations including a local course for an uncle who we had come and visit in winter to help with fixing up the final bits of the house renovation.

This was back in 2009 when I won for my Divison that Ice Bowl KC Pro FAF ROC the ivory colored disc with the full color stamp that is 9.9/10 due to throwing it one time to find the flashing a bit sharp as well as the disc not flying the way I would like due in part to being 180 grams. Disc is worth about $45-$50. My brother won one too but his got warped for keeping the mold in a box of discs he tossed in the box with 0% of staking at all of disc molds not sure if other discs got warped too.
