I do wonder how much of the difference on the CTP throws was simply due to Simon throwing the DD3 every day.

Love Simons vids. Pretty funny how he endorses the DD as a disc for everyone considering his previous statement about distance drivers. Oops

I wonder how much of every throw was simply due to familiarity with the DD3 versus throwing an unknown mold. Not saying the Eclipse would have won head to head, but it might have been better if he chose an unfamiliar driver mold as well.

He would have to find a long-time and up to this day Eclipse thrower, give that guy a DD3 and let him do the contest as well.

I liked the idea to bring an old famous mold back into light. Unfortunately the contest idea wasn't so well thought out. It didn't really work as expected. But simply playing a round with the Eclipse would have been the same story told already.

Rather he should play P2s against PD2s (for all shots). That would be interesting. Is it better to park the hole for a drop-in with the driver, or rather make longer putts with your putters?

So comparing a fairway driver at speed 7 with a distance driver at speed 12 is supposed to be informative about what, exactly?

I currently have an Eclipse in one of my bags. I've only thrown it for about 4 months so I'm not a long-timer, but I accept the challenge.

I think the point is that the eclipse WAS a high speed driver 30 years ago.
