Default What is a discraft MRX?

While looking for my star Archon I lost I found 2 other discs in a tree. The one I had never heard of before is a Discraft Elite Pro MRX. It looks like a midrange, similar to an ESP Buzz with a blunter nose, kind of. Is this disc any good. I haven't had a chance to throw it yet.

I believe, but I could be wrong, that the MRX was an overstable mid. More overstable than the wasp.

the MRX was a nice mid range that came out around the same time as the X2, Xtreme, XL, etc. It was discontinued and they went with the MRV, not sure why (guess they didn't think mids should fade), the MRX was good into the wind and had real predictable distance(not a lot of glide), like a Gator but in sort of an impact resistant high end plastic.

^^All that plus I believe they were a small diameter mid.

I was thinking drone-like, and it does seem to be smaller diameter

It wasn't nearly as overstable as a drone. More like a torque/aftershock

Some of the old timers I know love them, especially the ones with a platypus stamp.

I've heard people say the MRX/MRV is yesteryears Wasp/Buzzz combo. I play with a guy who throws the former combo regularly, and he's not too shabby with them either.
