Default Help Me Throw

Hi All!

I have played disc golf for the last two summers. I'm not very good at all, however, my friends are pretty decent, so they out play me.

I'm curious if anyone can give beginners tips to throwing, putting, etc. I feel all I do is try to strong arm a disc and that never works too well. I'd like to re "learn" how to play disc golf this year.

Any pointers would help! Thanks guys!

Physics of Flight on YouTube is pretty cool/potentially useful.

Otherwise you could browse the Techniques section on DGCR.

Don’t start with something fast or OS. Find a good putter and Stable mid and go from there.

Don't turn this into a job. Remember to have fun while you learn.

Post a video of you throwing a midrange for us.

DGCR member Sidewinder22 has a lot of good information and videos that he posts in the Improve Your Game section of the forums.

Seabas22 channel
is the quick link to the repository of his videos.

This particular video that reminds you to stop hugging yourself by envisioning a one-handed hammer throw has helped me enormously.

Like other have said, posting a video of yourself in the techniques section, is going to be your best bet. SW22 and slowplastic are great resources when trying to get a handle on what's going on.
