Default Seven Springs or other PA & WV courses?

Next week I’m going to a conference in Pittsburg and am hoping to play som disc golf on the way. Seven Springs looks like a unique experience but it’s about an hour out of my way. Do any of you have experience and if so - is it worth visiting?

Or are there any other courses along Interstate 79 in WV or around Pittsburg?

Seth Burton and Orange Crush in Fairmont WV are two great courses 1 block off 79. I haven't played Seven Springs, but not heard great things about it.

Lots of great courses around the burg, Moraine, Deer Lakes, Knob, Boundary, 2 Mile Ext, Linbrook.

Whereabouts in Pittsburgh are you going to be?
I would avoid Seven Springs. If you're there during the week as opposed to the weekend, you might not even get a lift ride to the top. And if you're there on the weekend, you might find the course somewhat interfered with by the ski patrol who I think will be training their chair evacuation this weekend (either this one or next) but as it's starting to get close to ski season, I also wouldn't be surprised if the baskets were already pulled. That said, the grasses are going to be tall and it's not that fun to waste your whole day looking for discs. When I play there now, I just bring crap discs that I don't mind losing.
Also FYI, Deer Lakes has a tournament (The Hunt at Deer Lakes) this Saturday and Knob Hill has a tournament this Sunday (Knobulus Maximus) so both courses should be in great shape if you're visiting during the week, but again if you're going to be there this weekend, just know those tournaments are going on.
Incidentally, Linbrook looks great right now as well.

I was out there last 4th of July. Actually stayed at Seven Springs. Nice resort, nice pool, kind of a crappy course. Seth Burton/Orange Crush is a great choice. Deer Lakes/Moraine are also great runs.

Deer Lakes, Moraine Seth Burton and Orange Crush are all courses I'd recommend if you have the time to play them all.

But if time is a factor: Burton and Crush are very good, but courses like Moraine and Deer Lakes make DG road trips worth it. Those courses earn every bit of their ratings, and should be prioritized if you can't get to all of them. My recommendation is to fit everything else in around those.

After hearing from y’all I’m gonna pass on seven springs. I’ll just realized I’ll actually be in Indiana, PA not Pittsburg but I’ve figured out a plan. I’ll take a break from driving on my way to PA and play Seth Burton then I have enough time before my conference to get a round at Deer Lakes.

Thanks for the help!

IUP College Lodge in Indiana, PA is a sweet course if they haven't pulled the baskets yet for winter sledding.

Default IUP Open?

Anyone know if the baskets are still in at IUP Lodge? I didn't realized that they pulled them in the winter.

I'm headed to Pittsburgh next weekend (have a cabin reserved at Moraine State Park).

Planning on playing rounds at Moraine, Deer Lakes, North Boundary, Big Beaver (new for me) and IUP Lodge (new for me).

I played Knob Hill last week for the 1st time in over 7 years, it was great. It's only minutes from I-79/I-76 and gets over looked since Deer Lakes and Moraine are even better.
