Yeah eclipse isn't the answer... it seems like you are looking for HSS... plasma and soft neutron have the least Hss but a late fade deal.. Eclipse is straight both ways with a touch less hss, then proton or neutron, then cosmic neutron. Look for a dome for most hss on some cosmic neutrons, but I haven't tried the new run.

Proton could be worth trying if you don't mind the plastic, from what I remember they were pretty straight fresh, a little beefier than eclipse with the same shot shape.

Next step up is an entropy, feels like an envy, putts well. Straight to a hard fade. I bag one as a wind putter and for short fh.

Phoenix line Yikun Wings. Good value. More OS than Neutron Envy.

I have an Envy in basically every plastic, including the new glow run, and my Proton Envy is the most overstable of the group.

The biggest issue I have with the Envy is just lack of availability right now. This plays a huge role in my disc selection, because I set my bag up to where the sides of the disc that are shown when sitting in the bag have to be of a teal/seafoam/turquoise color family. Yeah.. I know.

Since there's so little premium Envies out there right now, of the ones there are, I have no chance of finding the right color for me.

I got rid of the metal flake color glow ruin idea, because I'm afraid it might be maybe too overstable.

I'm once again asking for assistance. My quest is not complete. ―\_(ツ)_/―

I've given both a Premium Jokerii and Plasma Envy a try in my bag for this slot, and I still don't find either stable enough. So still looking for that magic slot that fits between these and a Zone.

Sticking with my answer from post #5.

If you can find yourself a Discmania P3X it will probably be just what you’re looking for. A little deeper than the Envy but flat and feels similar (it is beaded though) and handles power better than an Envy and always has a dependable but not overbearing fade.

Hm, would an AviarX3 be similar?

Good choice. Also why not a Baseline Zone? It is the less stable Zone. Assuming he has ESP or Z (premium).

Jawbreaker Zone would be ideal for me here, but I'm having a hard time finding any Teal ones on the market.
