Perkeson Park is pretty good if you are down that way. Hard to navigate and lock your car, but has some fun throws and unique holes for a inner-city park. I've played Alexander Park too but not worth playing again. Really haven't played any around the north side of town.

Right near Alpheretta there is Wills park, which is pretty cool and the oldest course on GA(though it's been reconfigured to be safer), East Roswell is a personal favorite of mine.

Oregon and White Oak aren't too far from there and worth the trip.

If you can Hobbs farm, boundary waters and Perkerson are the class of the ATL metro and are about 1-1.5 hours from there.

If you go to Oregon or White Oak PM me, I guide both.

Instead of starting a new thread, I thought I'd just resurrect this one, since it's basically where I'm heading.

I'll be in Atlanta (Sandy Springs area) the weekend of April 28-30, visiting my old man. I've played E Rosewell and Wills several times on visits there, since they're pretty close to him.

I was wondering, IF I can get a round in (I'll have the wife n nugget with me, so may not be able to swing it) and can only hit one course, what should I go for?

Looks like it's maybe an hour drive to Hobbs Farm. Boundary Waters is closer (I think?) and I could do Perkerson, I reckon.

What say ye, Atlanta people?

If you can swing it, you'd be about an hour's drive from North Georgia Canopy Tours... a phenomenal course; beautiful, fun, challenging, well thought out... all of the above.

Trust me - you won't regret hitting NGCT.

Yeah, I've been eyeballing this one for several trips now, seen it in a couple of tourney vids, etc.

Hobbs Farm's looking temping from the pics, but would be a long day with the drive included. Might be worth "sleeping on the couch" for a few nights, LOL. Hmmm.
