Default Target Visibility Standards

I haven't located any but are there standards for devices that increase target visibility?

For example I just purchased a Mach V. It came with orange tape to wrap around the poll. (TWSS) Should that tape go in the center of the pole from the bottom of the basket to the top, immediately underneath the arms that hold the chains or what?

Biscoe had little bright orange strips of plastic hanging from the bottom of the Hawk Hollow baskets.

If there aren't common accepted practices than what works best for you?

I also like bacon. Do you enjoy bacon?

Forget the tape -- Cheez-It dangle strips ought to do the job...

Usually the position for the focus tape is a little higher than middle. Seems like the spec is setting the top of the tape 6" below the chain assembly collar.

Then every time you hit chains you can yell, 'Bang, Cheez-It!'

Around here it seems most of the orange tape is right below the basket. I prefer right in the center of the chains.

I like it to be a lil higher the center, at about the 2/3 mark.

Wrap the tape where you see it the picture above.
The tape is not provided to allow you to spot the target from far away, but is meant to provide an aiming point when putting.
It is also common practice, if the next tee is not visible, to wrap about a 4-6" length of red tape around the top bar of the basket, in a line with the following tee.

If you wish to make the target more visible from a distance, you might try adding some flags to the top of the pole, like these from the DGA

That's where I put the damn tape...drunk...at 4 in the morning because I saw that exact picture.

However, I've noticed tape position much more lately and several courses in my area put the tape lower.

Hence, my mind-bending conundrum.
