It depends on how hard you're throwing it but...

I'm casting another vote for a Leopard. There's a reason they're highly recommended for new players. In Star or Champ plastic and a 170'ish weight, they go pretty straight and are great for holding hyzer or anny lines, so they're good for shot shaping. Most newbs don't turn them over too easily unless there's a good headwind.

As you develop form and release speed improves, and the disc beats in... it'll become your controllable turnover driver. It's a tried and true mold, and more forgiving of nose angle issues than most discs of similar speed.

I love Leos.

Not unless you have elite power.

It’s very straight (not much fade) but also has a nice early stability (not much turn).

Beat one in and yes it will do this but not brand new.

I second the Leopard as many are also saying.

The FD is a really good intro level driver. Its really neutral. Thrown hard hyzer it'll definitely pop up to flat and might drift right a little. For a speed 7 disc the thing will go a long way too. Really floaty. Not good in wind, but the FD does great when its calm out.

I can get the FD out around 400' pretty reliably. For workable drivers, this one checks all the boxes. I'd put the FD at something like 7, 6, -2, 1. It'll turn, and it doesn't have a ton of late fade. Very straight in most cases.

If you want something workable but faster, look at the Trespass or Sword.

Great choice. Stags are highly underrated. They finally got the flight numbers right on them. Definitely not a 3 for fade.

Sounds like you want understable. Discraft Heat, Innova Roadrunner, Leopard
