Default Ran Off The Course By Mosquito's?

"Pros: The 5 holes we managed to get through seemed like a great layout for a course!

Cons: Mosquitos ran us off the this course from what I noticed every hole we played your best bet is to wear long sleeves and pants or else like us you won't finish this course!"

Normally I don't nitpick on reviews, but c'mon man.

I played the course a week ago, and it wasn't that bad. Also, it was on the 24th highest rated course (last time I checked) in the country. I've seen swarms of mosquitos on a course before, and never let it chase me off.

99% Deet! Bring on the carcinogens!

One of my leagues is at a notoriously buggy course. Not only mosquitoes, but biting flies. Never leave home without at least some Deep Woods off. Typically, if the parking lot is already looking swarmy, I get the Maxi-Deet out.

But, more to your point, yes. This is a crummy review. It happens.

I actually don't think that's a terrible thing to complain about in a review. Some courses can have worse bugs than others, and it can be helpful to note that. My home course when I lived in NH had a couple large ponds that were prime breeding grounds for mosquitoes. I always got attacked way worse there than at other courses in the area.

I see it as no different than complaining about things like thorns or poison ivy.

That quote was the whole review. He gave a course with an average rating 4.5 a 2.5 after playing 5 holes. He is entitled to his opinion. And It is a good idea to warn people of insect infestations, but not sure if this is how.

Fair point. It's worth noting, but not worth centering the entire review around.

holy moly!!! I played at an event at Rollin Ridge during an absolute mosquito outbreak...

NEVER AGAIN!!! it was just too much and more than I'd ever seen before

even with 99% DEET, they were so hungry and my blood must be more attractive as I got chewed up while others seemed fine... cripes!!!

edit: agreed on the 'squito stuff in a review... it should not affect the review other than to mention it... I'd never review Rollin Ridge and knock it down over the 'squitoes (which are much better now BTW)... Rollin' Ridge is an amazing place!!!
